Ferrari formula classic Mallory Park Rounds 2 & 3

We set up the awning on the Saturday afternoon prior to the Sunday race, it was blowing a gale and we were worried it might not still be there in the morning so we tied it down to the Granada.

It was my local race, I had mentions in the Hinckley & Coalville Times. I had a great turn out Sponsors Steve & Lindsey Freeman with partner Geoff & Kerry from Midland Plastic Windows (Hinckley) plus Steve Gadsby from Papas Pizza (Ibstock)

There were the usual invaluable helpers, Bo, Adam & Matt and friends.

The Club took over the hospitality suite over looking the start / finish so it all made for some good racing with a chance to socialise. With two rounds it was going to be a busy day.

In round one I qualified in eleventh place just ahead of David Barker (400GT) by a mere 0.045 of a second we are usually are quite close.

Race one saw a best lap at just over 8 tenth of an improvement on qualifying which would establish a Gp1 lap record and race two would be the second of the days wins for me in Gp1 just 0.17 seconds slower.
